MMR Research Worldwide has opened a new state-of-the-art sensory research facility in Singapore.
This facility meets a highly specialised demand by Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) brands for competitive sensory insights that ensure that CPG products are powerful enough for the Asian marketplace. The innovative facility, designed by MMR’s team of sensory experts, features extensive preparation and testing facilities allowing panels to work on a wider range of categories.
At the opening of the facility in October, Asia Research met with the senior management team of MMR to discuss the new facility and their business in Asia. This included the Founder of MMR, Dr David Thomson, MMR’s Head of Sensory for APAC, Margaux Ducatillon, as well as Mark Sismey, MD of APAC.
UK headquartered, MMR Research Worldwide is a global consumer and sensory research agency with offices in 10 countries and sensory science research hubs in China and Singapore, as well as 2 other research offices in Bangkok and Mumbai, offering pan-Asia coverage. Dr David Thomson commented that their expansion into Asia was client led, with their key clients expecting them to provide sensory insights in the global markets they operate within.
Commenting on this venture, MMR’s Head of Sensory for APAC, Margaux Ducatillon said, “This new facility and its extensive preparation areas, will highly benefit the region and help more CPGs develop best-in-world products.”
David Thomson highlighted that sensory research has developed into assessing the more holistic experience consumers have with brands, and a natural extension of MMR’s work was into branding research. “We deconstruct the full sensory journey of your proposition into micro-moments, unpacking which touchpoints really matter to your consumers.”
